Whether you are graduating high school, college or a continuing education program, the most anticipated day is graduation. On Saturday May 31st, the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts held their graduation in the Macky Auditorium on the Colorado University campus. Filled with excited friends and family, the Culinary and Pastry Arts students that completed their programs during the 2013/early 2014 year, walked across the stage to receive their diplomas. For me it was truly inspiring to see so many teary-eyed, smiling faces as students held the physical proof of their hard work. The pride and joy from the families, students, administration staff and faculty was almost tangible.

For many students graduation is much more than simply receiving a diploma, it is a symbol of accomplishment and personal growth. For many of the families, it is a day of celebration for the 1st generation of family members to achieve a higher education. No matter what situation or circumstance that lead those students to further their education and careers, these students all stuck through the difficult times to achieve their dreams. With perseverance, dedication and drive, these students are now the newest and brightest members of the Culinary and Pastry Arts Industry.
